Supper will be served by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the American Legion will serve a fundraising supper Saturday, March 19, at the VFW hall on the east side of the courthouse square in Jefferson.
The three veterans groups will be serving your choice of baked fish or baked chicken along with baked beans, corn, scalloped potatoes, salads and dessert from 5 to 7 pm. Free will donations will be accepted. “Invite your friends and neighbors. Treat a veteran to supper,” a spokesperson said.
All proceeds will be divided among the three veteran groups, with most of the funds to benefit the current operating expenses and future community projects. Persons who want more information can contact Don Ihnken at 515-386-4933.
